Pete Note from 24JAN22 1:17am — I’m republishing some older work from other sites. The point is to house my work in one place as much as possible. I may do some light editing, I may add some context, I may simply cut and paste. I do hope you folks enjoy reading some of these older posts. For most of the 7 billion of you, it’s all-new anyhows.
At some point, if you keep at it long enough, I guess you become a writer. If I am one, I’m not terribly successful, though I did make 47 cents last month on Medium. BTW, when did they remove the ¢ button?
Am I a writer? sure? BUT, I also know great writing when I see it, and I’ve got a ways to go still.
However, I also am old enough to know that my future self would assure me that what I write is better than I think. He’d also be disappointed in my editing and proofreading…but future Pete would say, “whatever negative feeling you have about sharing your work, get over it…and get to publishing.” I like future Pete.
With that…
The fall in Mizan district is quite lovely. By the 16th of Sept, the worst of the summer has given way to increasingly gorgeous days. In about 2 weeks, the earliest pomegranates are showing up in meetings. The hills are dusted with various warm-colored heather.
