Double Dates — A Cultural Epistle

I love going out on a date.

My special someone and I have been together for six years. We make a point of going on dates regularly. Maybe it’s something fancy like an opera, a show at the Hollywood Bowl, or a symphony. Other times it’s as simple as drinks at a bar with a view.

When I’m at my best, I call her and actually ask her out…I play up being nervous, which triggers the old feelings that come from the chase, the risk, and the bolt from the “yes.” It’s also a cute and fun role play for us.
